The Grundy Community Volunteer Hospice believes
that dying is a normal process of life.
We are dedicated to providing services with a profound
sense of love, compassion, and understanding in which to
experience the end of one's life.
We believe that the terminally ill patient has a right
to the highest quality of life possible and that they have
a right to die with dignity, in comfort and in peace.
We believe that each individual has a unique physical,
spiritual, psychological and social need. We are committed
to meet the needs of the patient and family through a cooperative
network of community services.
We recognize that an individual with a terminal illness
is a vital member of a family unit and cannot be cared for
in isolation, apart from family and friends. While the focus
of concern is on the dying patient, supportive care is given
to all members of the family who are an integral part of
the hospice team.
We believe that a hospice program can provide support and
care for the dying patient and family so they may live fully
and comfortably as possible in the last days of their lives
together.
